Dellapiana Ernesto was one of the pioneers of Chardonnay in Langa, having been among the first to plant this cultivar in 1978.
Langhe Chardonnay Wine comes from grapes grown in the vineyard "Speranza" (Hope), within the great Crü Rizzi. The vineyard, faces east-north-east (ideally for the conservation of the freshness in white wine), also has an highly calcareous marl soil, which gives to this Chardonnay a distinct mineral.
